Vanguard EMS Recognized for Best NPI Support of the Year by Advanced Energy.

Award Presented for NPI performance at the 2007 Advanced Energy Vendor Conference.

Beaverton, Ore. – June 27th, 2008 – Vanguard EMS, a leading electronics manufacturer serving advanced technology companies announced that it has been recognized for the second consecutive year for Best NPI Vendor by Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. AE is a global leader in innovative power and flow technologies for high-growth, thin-film manufacturing and solar power applications.

This award, presented at the annual vendor day conference, acknowledges Vanguard EMS’s ability to significantly reduce the time to market for new products. Through early engineering involvement and continuous program support on concurrent product launches, Vanguard was successful in compressing the Advanced Energy NPI model and supporting their pre-transfer production requirements.

Bill Winther, Vanguard EMS President, said, “The early alignment between Advanced Energy’s design objectives and our Vanguard Velocity division was instrumental in the success in launching these new programs. Our goal is to drive down the time and total cost of product introductions, and free up our customers resources to work on the next project”. Once a product is ready to be introduced into production it is transferred through a very robust NPI process from Velocity to Vanguard Manufacturing (all in the same building) or to our customers LCR partner. Vanguard Velocity has been operational since June of 2005.
