Vanguard EMS Announces AS9100 Certification

BEAVERTON, OR March 31, 2010 - Vanguard EMS announced it received certification under AS 9100, the quality standard required for aerospace and military manufacturing. The certifying auditor was Underwriter’s Laboratories.

AS9100 is a rigorous and widely adopted quality management system standard for the aviation, space, and defense industries. It was introduced by Society of Automotive Engineers in the Americas and the European Association of Aerospace Industries in Europe in October 1999. AS9100 defines the requirements for the Quality Management System Standard. The International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) is responsible for the development and maintenance of the 9100 standard.
