Counterfeit Parts Program

This program establishes Vanguard's methods to prevent the incorporation of counterfeit components into products. This policy applies to all purchased electronic components specifically, and to any other component or part type that is or may become subject to counterfeiting.

Areas addressed include:

•  Policy and procedures to use only approved suppliers and franchised distributors where possible

•  Use of independent distributors and brokers only when necessary

•  Prior customer approval to purchase components from non-franchised distributors and brokers

•  Use of third party analysis and testing services to verify component authenticity

•  Customer notification of approved parts nearing end of life and obsolescence

•  Objective evidence of part traceability to the original component manufacturer (OCM)
